How to Make Steak at Home | Low Carb Chicken Steak with Gravy


Chicken Steak is one of the most popular American cuisines that never goes out of trend among Chicken lovers! Chicken Steak can be a wholesome meal if served with pan-roasted or sauteed vegetables – as it is high in protein and low in fat! And when it comes to chicken, it gets digested easily! Be it your house party or a weekend lunch or dinner, Chicken Steak flavoured with juicy Worcestershire sauce and pan-roasted vegetables is beyond perfect! The recipe involves simple and not so complicated steps where boneless chicken breasts get marinated and flavoured with spices and herbs and then pan-fried until they are properly cooked and turn juicy and tender.

Here is how to cook Chicken Steak step by step

Cooking time – 15 minutes

Ingredients you’ll need

For Marination – Chicken Breast pieces – 2 (boneless) 🔸️Black Pepper – 2 tsp 🔸️Salt as per taste 🔸️Olive Oil – 2 tsp 🔸️Garlic Powder – 1 tsp For Steak 🔸️Olive OIl – 1 tbsp 🔸️Oregano – 1 tsp 🔸️Thyme – 1 tsp 🔸️Garlic – 1, cut from the middle 🔸️Butter – 1 tsp 🔸️Pinch of Black Pepper 🔸️Chopped Parsley

Marinated Chicken breasts For the Sauce 🔸️Water – 1 cup 🔸️Worcestershire Sauce – 2 tbsp 🔸️Black Pepper – 1 tsp 🔸️Honey – 2 tsp Chopped Parsley For Sauteed Vegetables 🔸️Carrots 🔸️Beans 🔸️Olive Oil – 2 tsp 🔸️Black Pepper – 1 tsp 🔸️Pinch of Salt 🔸️Pinch of Garlic Powder 🔸️Worcestershire Sauce – 1 tsp 

Cooking Instruction

Let’s begin with marinating the chicken pieces. Take the pieces into a bowl, cut slits from the middle of each piece so the spices go inside. Now add all the ingredients mentioned in the marination part above. Massage well to mix everything evenly and leave it to rest for 30 minutes – 1 hour. 🔸️After resting, heat 1 tbsp Olive Oil onto a Pan. Now in one corner of that pan, add oregano, thyme, and garlic ( as shown in the video). Then place the chicken breast pieces. Sprinkle some black pepper and chopped parsley from the top. And add Butter as well. 🔸️Fry the chicken for 5 – 7 minutes, till the pieces turn a little brown from the outside and tender from the inside. Do not forget to keep the flame in medium. Flip the sides to cook the chicken well from every corner. 🔸️Once fried well from all sides, your Chicken Steak is ready to take out from the pan. Making the Sauce

After taking the chicken steak out, add 1 cup of water into the same pan. Make sure you are leaving the herbs and garlic cloves on the pan while removing the pieces. 🔸️Add the Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, chopped parsley and honey into the water. 🔸️Cook for 3-4 minutes in high flame till everything comes to a boil. Now strain out the sauce into a bowl and keep aside. Saute the Vegetables

🔸️Gather and cut the vegetables of your choice. We used only carrots and beans. 🔸️Par-boil the vegetables for 5-7 minutes, just to get rid of the raw smell of vegetables. 🔸️Now take some olive oil into a pan. Add the par-boiled vegetables along with other ingredients mentioned under the sauteed vegetable section above. 🔸️Stir fry them for a few minutes and your pan-roasted vegetables are ready. Finally, combine all of them together, add the special flavoured sauce from the top of the steak and savour.
