WSET Level 1: Admission Information
What You’ll Learn:
- The main types and styles of wine.
- Common wine grapes and their characteristics.
- How to store and serve wine properly.
- Principles of food and wine pairing.
- How to describe wine using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT).
Course Delivery:
- Minimum of 6 hours of study, available in both Offline and Online modes.
- Offline: Classroom learning with wine tasting; exams are conducted in the Institute.
- Online: Can be taken from your location. You’ll need two devices—one for the exam and one to track your surroundings.
Assessment:
- A closed-book exam consisting of 30 multiple-choice questions.

Certification:
- For offline exams, the papers are sent to London and it takes minimum of 15 days to get the results.
- For online exams, they are sent directly to London for marking as it is completed online.
